Chris Blan*, Resource Recovery Technician, Brown County
Chris is a Resource Recovery Technician for Brown County overseeing Brown County’s regional Hazardous Material Recovery program that provides safe disposal of hazardous materials for residents and businesses across Northeast Wisconsin. He also assists with recycling and recovery efforts at Brown County’s refuse and curbside recycling programs. Chris’ specialty is finding the handling practices and best disposal options for hazardous wastes, universal wastes, batteries and battery containing devices, cylinders, sharps, latex paint, etc. Wastes that fall “Between the Bins”. Wastes that can be recycled - just not in a curbside program - and have better disposal alternatives than landfilling. Finding better disposal options for these materials leads to safer operation of curbside recycling and landfill programs. Chris is a Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) and co-chair of AROW’s Hazardous & Special Waste Committee. He has nearly twenty-five years of experience in the waste industry and is seeking his third term to the board hopes to continue to serve the AROW community. |

Casey Hines is a Recycling Sales Executive at Dynamic Lifecycle Innovations, based in Onalaska, WI, who works in Electronics EPR Programs across the country. Casey has worked in the electronics recycling industry for over 12 years and has partnered with many Wisconsin counties to provide e-waste services or one-day events to county residents during that time.

As a lifelong resident, born and raised in southwest Wisconsin, he is committed to helping ensure the next generation is afforded the same opportunities he was given by doing his part to help preserve the state’s beauty through keeping electronics out of our soil and waterways.
Sarah Jongetjes, Vice President of Shared Services, Johns Disposal Service, Inc.
Sarah has been working full-time at Johns Disposal Service for a dozen years with many years of part-time work prior. Johns has given her an incredible opportunity to learn holistically about recycling, seeing the process full circle from collection at the curb, to the MRF, to shipping loads to mills. This has helped her to effectively promote recycling education throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Sarah considers herself to be enthusiastic, organized, and passionate about recycling. Since JOHNS is both a material recovery facility and a garbage and recycling hauling company, Sarah can offer perspectives for both of those parts of our industry. She will bring her passion for recycling to the board. She also looks forward to collaborating with others to support AROW’s mission, specifically around education for waste reduction and resource recovery in our state.
